How To Keep Dogs Off Lawn

Do you have a garden or a lawn? If yes then you may be aware that lawn is the biggest enemy of dogs. They love to dig holes in the lawn and eat the grass. Sometimes they will destroy the plants and shrubs and other times they will disturb the entire garden.

There is no doubt that you must keep your dog away from your garden or lawn, but what if you want to keep them away permanently?

Here are the 3 simple and effective tips that will keep your dog off your lawn.

Remove the source of attraction

Most dogs have a strong instinct that leads them to find food, but if you don’t provide the dog food then they will not go near the lawn.

So, don’t leave the kitchen or any food stuffs in the open; keep it in the house and give it to your dog in the morning.

Clean the grass

It is a common mistake that people don’t clean the grass. When you keep the lawn clean, then your dog will not be attracted towards it.

There are many products that can be used to clean the grass like baby powder, but I will suggest you to use a natural product.

Spray a little bit of water on the grass and then mix a few drops of lemon juice and sprinkle it on the grass. Keep the grass wet for about 30 minutes.

Use electric fence

Electric fence is the most effective and simple way to keep the dog away from your lawn. You can use a wire to keep the dog on one side of the fence and then keep the gate open.

If you are not confident enough about this method then you can also use a remote control to keep your dog away.
